Ever-popular retired taximan from Tuam, Brendan O'Boyle defeated semi-retired Dunmore cabbie Austin Morris to take top prize in last night's €55+€5 Freezeout. Reserve Omaha Masters Champ Vincent McNeela took third with Egyptian Wonder Albert Alexander collecting the Bubble.
It was a contrast of styles in the Heads Up with the irrepressible Brendan chundering away in an attempt to put Austin off but that was difficult as Austin spent most of the time away from the table having a cigarette break. The TD eventually forced Austin to come to the table only for his Aces to be beaten by BOB's 76.
