Day 1
Having prepared for the first day’s racing by spending the previous night welcoming Padraig Parkinson, it will come as no surprise that I was a little fragile to begin with. So I decided that a few cups of coffee while basking in the sunshine outside Roscoe’s was just what the doctor ordered. 3 coffees later Donal MacA and I were on the road for the races, hearts full of optimism and pockets full of money. Well in my case maybe the pockets weren’t quite full, things haven’t been running at what you might call optimum of late so the horses and the cards had better behave themselves for the week.
