Fintan Gavin, probably The Eglinton's best known export, has managed to stay out of the bar long enough to reach the final table of the UKIPT Edinburgh Main Event as chip leader.
Latest news at the final day dinner break is that Fintan is lying third with 1,200,000 in chips. The chip leader is Jamie Dale with 2.4 million.
Sixth place is worth £10,500 with the winner due to take home £61,500.
Earlier James Walsh finished 29th for £1,120.
Whatever happens from here, there will be a party to celebrate with Fintan at the €5000 Gtd MidMonth on Wednesday.
