Most people who play against Dave Connors would think that he is a reasonably good tournament poker player, he seems to keep calm play strong hands and understand the logic of tournaments.
However, before last night's Mid Month Madness, Dave had played 71 tournaments in The Eglinton since his last cash. He even retired from poker for a short time. The break seems to have done him the world of good because last night Dave finished third claiming €1150 despite having no more than five big blinds for most of the tournament.

By the way, Austin Morris having been dealt pocket aces six times in the tourney, doubling up or knocking somebody out every time managed second and Kieran Furey won.
