Ronan Gilligan won €74,000 for his superb third place finish at the WPT Dublin. Gilly came to the final televised table as the short stack but won three massive pots 88 v. K5, AK v. TT and top pair versus a flush draw and two overs to take the chip lead with three players remaining.

Unfortunately, he lost several middle size pots before semi-bluffing all-in with an open ender and catching a call from top pair. No luck for the Salthill star and a 90% chip lead for England's David Swallow who then went on to collect first prize of €200,000.

Vinny Long Lad finished in tenth place in the IPC when his AQ lost to QJ after a queen high flop and a jack on the turn.
