Sometimes it pays to be running bad as Austin Tin Tin Morris discovered early on Sunday morning, and they don’t run much worst than our Austin. According to himself he’s been on the most foul of runs since 1986 which is pretty remarkable for a guy that only started playing the game 3 years ago and Sunday morning was just more of the same when at around 7am he had his set busted by a gutshot. After a few choice words of congratulations to his opponent Austin was torn between buying back in or hitting the bricks and for once his decision to slap a few €50’s onto the table was a good one.

The dealer immediately dealt him pocket 10’s and after the previous hand Tin Tin had no problem getting it all in preflop against James King. On the flop of A A 10 Austin announced he had a house but started to mumble sometime about being monged by a rag ace when another 10 came on the turn. Austin slapped his hands face up with great pride and joy as the dealer dealt the river, James after the briefest of pauses simply asked “How does this bad beat thing work?” and flipped his pocket aces into the middle of the table, one more brief pause for realisation to set in and then uproar and high 5’s all round.

Austin pocketed €1140, James picked up the €400 pot and €570 from the jackpot and the rest jackpot was divided between the other players in the game.
